Learn about the cultural significance of the ribbon skirt and create your own under the guidance of Andria Dyer. Andria, a member of Chippewa of the Thames First Nation and owner of Running Deer Creations, brings her knowledge, experience & passion for sharing Indigenous culture through traditional teachings and hands-on learning.
This program is intended for Indigenous children and youth ages 5–14 and their caregivers residing in Middlesex County or local First Nation communities.
All supplies are included. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine. Meal catered both days by Kickin’ Wings Catering (Chippewa of the Thames).
Participants must commit to attending both dates. Please register only if you are able to attend both sessions. Caregivers are expected to attend both sessions with their child or youth.
